ABOUT ME

Education:

Dr. Lauren Schwartz is a Board-Certified psychiatrist in private practice in Oklahoma.

She graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine with distinction. She completed residency in psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma’s Health Sciences Center with additional training in psychoanalytic theory through Oklahoma’s psychoanalytic society.

  • Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association 

  • Senior Fellow of Do No Harm 

  • Physician member of FAIR in Medicine, Genspect and Therapy First

  • Ballet

    Prior to a career in Medicine, Dr. Schwartz danced professionally for 8 years. She joined Ballet Oklahoma as an apprentice at the age of 17 and was promoted to a full company member one year later. Her ballet career continued in California, with Ballet Pacifica of Southern California and The Sacramento Ballet. She retired to return to academics, earning an undergraduate degree in Psychology which ultimately paved the way to a career in Psychiatry.

  • Family

    Dr. Schwartz is most grateful for and humbled by her family and would not be here without them. She and her husband, Steven, have been married for 21 years and have 3 amazing children.
